Light and Exposure. Learning to expose your pictures correctly will make a big difference if you want a rich image with realistic tones and detailed shadows. You will learn to trust both a hand help meter and the light meter in your camera (and when to use each). |

Flash photography – Indoors. You will apply all that you have learned in chapters 1,2 & 3 by learning how to properly expose images using your flash indoors. A model is provided. |

Flash photography –Outdoors. Tonight you take what you learned last week indoors and learn how to use Fill Flash outdoors. You will learn to trust your camera’s light meter even more and the importance of learning all that TTL can do for you. . A model is provided. |

Your Course Instructor and Mentor, John Chandler, is an accomplished photographer having more than 42 years of experience in Photography. John is a Certified Professional Photographer and a CPP Mentor for the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). A longtime member of the PPA John is constantly renewing his experience by frequently attending professional seminars and workshops and is also an active member of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina.
This “Short Course” on photography is designed to provide you with a solid foundation of the basics of photography AND Adobe Photoshop that will enable to you understand and apply the core principals of your camera in a variety of imaging situations. You will learn more about your camera AND Adobe Photoshop in this eight week course than you could learn in a year by reading “how-to” books or taking on-line webinars. BUT this course does prepare you to expand your future learning because upon completion of this Short Course you will be equipped to participate in on-line webinars and readings that will continue to improve your photography and creative abilities with Photoshop.

1. A digital camera.
2. A Laptop computer with Adobe Photoshop Elements (Current version) or better.
3. The Book by London & Stone titled “A Short Course on Digital Photography” that is available on Amazon.com. I recommend you purchase the most current version USED to save $$$.
4. A smile and desire to learn how to use your camera and Photoshop!

Call 910 324 1646. Teresa will take your reservation. The Short Course is always limited to six (6) students so please sign up early to ensure you get a seat.
Students are expected to place a deposit of $150 when they sign up (call 910 324 1646). Credit Cards, Cash or Checks are accepted. The remainder of the course fee is due the first evening of class.
There will be One (1) make-up Saturday for any students who cannot make an evening session.
